Presentation of educational projects connecting art and technology at the Museo Nacional del Prado
In 2021, María Castellanos and Alberto Valverde participated in Encuentros Inspiradores. Sobre arte y escuela, a programme for reflection and exchange organised by the Education Department of the Museo Nacional del Prado as part of Deslizar, its educational innovation laboratory. The programme was dedicated to sharing projects that incorporate contemporary artistic practices into schools and to exploring new forms of learning through art.
Castellanos and Valverde participated in Eje II: Ecología y sostenibilidad, where they presented Marvelous Things and Escuelas para el Siglo XXI, two projects connected to their research into art, technology and education. Through these projects, they addressed the development of their own technological tools and resources, the creative and critical use of digital technologies, and the creation of spaces and methodologies for experimentation applicable to educational contexts.
The session also featured Luis Martínez Campo, from Fundación Cerezales Antonino y Cinia, who presented Los sonidos de la escuela rural. Castellanos, Valverde and Martínez Campo subsequently took part in a roundtable with Alberto Nanclares, from the collective Basurama and an artist involved in the Deslizar project, moderated by Sofía de Juan, coordinator of Deslizar and a member of hablarenarte’s education team.
